    After Rugrats and Pokémon comes yet another big-screen spin-off from a popular children's TV animation. The premise is simple enough: young TJ Detweiler and chums take to the playground to save their school (and the world's weather system) from dastardly forces who plan to put an end to their six weeks of freedom. Brightly if basically cartooned, Recess's real plus point is subject matter that kids everywhere can identify with. Bored parents will have fun spotting the voice talents of James Woods, Melissa Joan Hart, Robert Stack and Robert Goulet, while hyperactive six-to-nine-year-olds will be entertained.
