The beginning of the endBy Lord Q from Winchester, UK , 28 Jun 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Very patchy series as the writers are clearly losing their way. If you don't worship the altar of Red Dwarf, expect to be disappointed if you've seen series 3. If you are a dyed-in-the-wool Red Dwarf fan, then why are you reading these reviews? Let's face it, you already own it on DVD/VHS/Betamax and fascinate your mates down the pub with hilarious quotes. In desperation I even flipped to the 'Alternative Commentary', which would be more accurately described as 'Cast Members Silently Watching the Episodes, Punctuated Every Now and Then by Them Laughing at Their Lines'. Sheesh.

Bonus Disc - Not greatBy Kenton Barnard from Maidenhead, Berkshire , 17 Jul 2007Unless you are a fanatic, I wouldn't bother with the bonus disc as I don't think it is great value.
A bit of a mix match of episodesBy a customer from Farnborough , 07 Feb 2007Those of you that are Red Dwarf fans will love this DVD, even though it is not one of the best of the whole series. Some of the episodes are a real let down - in particular the Meltdown episode. The jokes are still fast coming and some of them are real laugh out loud ones even after having seen the series a number of times in the past. This DVD is not as good as series 3 or 5. Having said that though, I still give this a 4 star rating as it is still well worth watching.
Smeg Head!By Hellfirehound from Angus , 09 Sep 2006Fantastic....anyone who doesnt like this series of Red Dwarf clearly doesn't have a sense of humour. Where else can you see Listers swollen head (caused by space mumps) suddenly burst all over the ever-sp vain, Kat?
Classic comedy at its best
Always goodBy Diva from Devon, England , 12 Apr 2006The special effects are better and the scripts are up to the usual standard, so it's another great series all round.
