    [Highly rated reviewer]

Very disappointing yarn-which starts promisingly-about intrepid university researchers and their pursuit of frauds and charlatans.

A good cast, but an increasingly unconvincing tale.

I wish directors wouldn't rely so much on darkened sets in films like this; after a while the shadowy goings-on distract ,rather than adding to the suspense-or lack of it.

Watched this film mainly because of Robert Deniro. Interesting concept on psychic investigation. I expected a bit more but enjoyed it nonetheless. Worth a watch.

  • avoid, terribly badly made

one star for the acting, that's all. Terrible ending, very drawn-out long scenes where it seemed the actors were making up the script as they went along, repetitive speeches, awful direction and editing! Basic premise is good, great actors, but the director and screenwriter should be shot.

Very well acted, as you would expect from this cast, involving storyline. Kept me interested all the way through to the final surprising conclusion. Highly unusual story. Recommended!!

  • Worth watching if a little predictable

I really don't get the reviewers who gave negative reviews because they did not understand this film. What's not to understand. The most negative thing I could say is that it was all rather predictable. The clues were so well signposted (a bit heavy-handed imo) that I guessed the outcome very early and the conclusion was hardly a surprise nor incomprehensible.. However, I quite enjoyed watching the A list actors skills as they played out the events. although I didn't have to concentrate too hard; I was actually multi-tasking at the time. I would consider this film easy watching. but not the best film any of the A list actors has made.
