Can Catherine Hardwicke keep up the momentum from Twilight with this reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood?

I can't help it and I can't really explain it but the blond girl with the googly eyes makes me irrationally angry...
That said the film is still a pile...
And the story line WTF?- Was this review helpful to you?

By gainsb1 (36 reviews) , 10 May 2013Amanda Seyfried's eyes were the most frightening thing about the film which was... predictable. How come everyone in this bygone age has clean clothes, sparkly teeth and access to makeup? I want them ugly, dirty and visual bad breath. I paid for it, so I watched it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Almost perfect
By a customer , 19 Mar 2013What a brilliant film it was such a shame the ending didn't match. Didn't fit with the essence or the point .- Was this review helpful to you?

I should have known better when it said From the Makers of Twilight
By Bassman71 (619 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 18 Feb 2013Woodland village, woman in love triangle, werewolf killing people, man brought in to save village, werewolf having none of it, zzzzzzzzzzz. I think I should have known better when it said From the Makers of Twilight and sure enough we get a bland, flat and tedious tale lacking any fight. As with Twilight, there is no chemistry between the love interests and Amanda Seyfried has zero sexuality about her with not even Gary Oldman being able to save it. The CGI is awful as well with the scale of the wolf being all over the place and certainly not menacing as Im sure it was intended.- Was this review helpful to you?

This is literally the worst film I have ever seen.
By rcoldbreath (26 reviews) from London , 15 Feb 2013I'm not exaggerating. Not even Gary Oldman - GARY OLDMAN, who is like a god of acting - can begin to save this clunker. The ambience of the thing - supposedly set in an olde worlde village - is all fake eyelashes and the boiz and gals from Charmed/Twilight/Grimm/Supernatural. Even Gary Oldman's false nails are dreadful. If it were a bit more cheesy or had even the vaguest sense of humour about itself, it could have worked (Supernatural was 100% fail until it started parodying itself, in S2, for instance): but noooo, everyone is playing it so straight. That's two hours of my life I won't get back. You have been warned.- Was this review helpful to you?

Twilight meets The Wicker Man
By a customer , 07 Feb 2013I thought this film was better than many of the other reviewers. Not sure what they expected - it is a children's story after all. Personally I found it quite dark, with pagan ritual etc (Wicker Man), and I honestly didn't know who was the wolf until it was finally revealed. Too dark and scary for my 11-year old daughter - should possibly have been a '15'.- Was this review helpful to you?
