A huge disappointment...

The action sequences are impressive (though they are obviously CGI) but the sub-plots and dialog are woeful. Terrance Howard & Cuba Gooding Jr do their best with what they are given, but even actors of their calibre cannot make this anything but a so-so war flick.- Was this review helpful to you?

I for one got this because of it being produced by Mr Lucas and thus would be getting a vehicle for fantastic aerial footage and in that, it does not disappoint. Sure, the story is a bit hokey in places and cornier than Kansas in others but the characters are likeable and the fact that it is 'based on true events' is nice also. Just don't rent this expecting greatness, expect an Ok movie with great effects.- Was this review helpful to you?

Cliched, predictable and disappointing
By a customer , 22 Apr 2013A cliched, predictable and ultimately disappointing film. Anyone who has seen a few WW2 films will be able to predict the plot and even the dialogue. Wooden acting, woeful script and completely predictable plot..............do yourself a favour and avoid it!- Was this review helpful to you?
