  • Excellent insight into the crazy world of a stuntman

    [Highly rated reviewer]

Red Trousers play like a documentary with an added short film in between which cuts off at certain fight scenes to show us how it was performed and which poor sod had to do it.It's high time that stuntmen and women got the recognition they deserved.Already well respected in Asia,it is high time that we realised that true stars of action movies are this men and women who put their lives on the line in the attempt to make the most memorable stunts possible.Interviewing the likes of Sammo Hung and old shaw brothers heroe's this movie is highly recommended viewing just wait till you see the amazing Beijing Opera school kids.A MUST SEE.HIGHLY APPRECIATED DOCUMENTARY.

  • Good Documentary Spoiled By Sci Fi Drama

    Rated - 2.0 stars

I was hoping that more time would be spent looking at the stunt man's art, with an in depth look at some famous stunts. Instead we get a criminally uninteresting sci-fi action story that keeps 'intruding' on the documentary element and outstays its welcome very quickly for me. I would have enjoyed this more if it had just been a 45 minute documentary on the stunts.

  • Could have been better

    Rated - 2.0 stars

This sounded awesome...and i was looking forward to it...but after viewing...it left me quite disappointed

Robin Shou was quite good in the Mortal Kombat movies, from a few years back,he`s a great Martial Artist..but he cant front a Doc...doesnt have the personality for it

There needed to be more from the stunt scenes...not just watching a man fall, then talk about it...Jackie Chan My Stunts is a far superior dvd to watch than this...all the techniques are shown in slow, and fast motion on that dvd.

Another problem,is the annoying use of Subtitles,it kinda distracts you from watching the stunt...or the interview

I gave this 2 stars..could have been better

Oh yeah..why the need for a bonus disc? its terrible!!

  • not bad

this is dedicated to the unsung stuntmen in hong kong. its good, but should've showed more stunts. Jackie Chan should have been involved with this. The short film is quite good. I hope its made into a feature length movie, with a bigger budget and better acting, but the fight choreography was brilliant.

  • If you've nothing better to do ....

The idea of this documentary is fine - a close-up look at the brave stuntmen and women of HK. Sadly the whole thing is fronted by some sad-wannabee who pads this whole film with clips from some rubbish in which he is the star ( so called). The info and clips from the genuine stars (including Sammo Hung) are great. The pathetic inserts from our US west-coast mostly-out-of-work actor reduce this to a pile of drivel.
