[Highly rated reviewer]What promised to be an excellent story seemed to fizzle out. It was like they only had a certain amount of allotted time and only realised this near the end and had to rush to finish it. Having said that I still enjoyed it and can recommend it as a mid week viewing no more than that.

Man's Best Friend Worth Watching.By Alexander-UK (128 reviews) , 23 Sep 2013Enjoyed this movie, got it out of randomness and enjoyed it. Strong storyline and very, very moving and some great performances and the old guy is just so great in this movie. It starts very intense and pulls straight into the story and i think thats probably what it needs to do, upsetting scenes in places but really a good movie to watch.
Brian Cox is in two films called Red...By Kinkyfish (121 reviews) from York, England , 18 Sep 2012...and this is the first one.
An excellent drama. Brian Cox is as ever fantastic in his portrayal of a man simply getting on with his twilight years, having lost much, and then being wronged with no good reason. All he wants is justice, cool, calm, collected justice.
Excellent performances all round really it must be said. The young actors in this film are very good. A good all round drama for a lazy day.
Brian Cox sees red following the killing of his dog.By gingerspike (432 reviews) from Grimsby , 01 Mar 2012A moving tale of revenge. Brian Cox plays a man who seeks revenge after a bunch of youths kill his long-time friend and pet dog Red. The film is a little slow, but it's a good film that's well acted and well scripted.
