gothic erotic!

first saw this movie on the Horror Channel a few months back. it is a very surreal movie and also pretty erotic too. features a couple of nubile young girls (who look like they just skipped school) discovering a castle where a lot of vampires live. at one point one of the girls strips off completely to lure one of the local chaps into the castle! my girlfriend wasn't that impressed with the movie as she kinda half-watched it with me and just sighed thru the nude scenes saying she could do a better acting job than both of them! she probably could but the girls are attractive and the film has a great surreal gothic feel to it so its one to watch if you like erotic gothic stuff!

Please dont waste your time with this rubbish!! I watched it at 20x speed and it was still a waste of time...evry scene was prolonged to death ie 5 mins of real time to cross a small patch of land...the story line (ha!) ends with the Vampire rejecting his way of life and perishing in the vault, much to the chagrin of his disciples...

pretentious..... vous?

This is one of the most pretentious, self indulgent,load of crap, I've seen for a very long time! Its this type of 'arty'nonsense that gives French films a bad name.The only saving grace was the almost compleate lack of dialogue.......absolute merde!

A typical 70's sexploitation movie...

... with a flavour of vampires. Special effects - none. Plot - err maybe just about discernible. Enough loose ends to crochet a rug. Vampire fangs precariously stuck on bottom lips. Bright sunshine in the night-time shots. Revolvers equipped with 50 shots without reloading.

If you are into this genre of film, it's possibly worth a look. That is, you may like it if it's the sort of thing you like. But probably not. Nice nude bondage and flagellation scene, though!

Fantastique

Two little girlies (in pigtails) on the run in clown suits, who ditch the car when their driver is killed (watch the 'dead man' flinch when petrol/water is poured over him). They get changed into mini skirts, ride a motorbike, get lost, get buried (one does anyway), find an old castle and the last remaining vampire.

There's no dialogue for about 40 minutes but the atmosphere and imagery linger after you've seen the film (for others the reaction would be a big yawn and who's to say they're wrong).

Watch it then get hold of Feuillade's Fantomas and Les Vampires.

put in the dvd player watched the first 5 mins and placed in the packet and returned. nothing more to say!

There is no need to watch this film! It's awfull!

Strange but boring

Film starts well with intriguing lack of background or dialogue leaving you in the dark. The air throughout the first few scenes is creepy and the film looks good in a cheap kind of way.

After the vampire characters enter the scene and the plot starts being developed however it swiftly heads for a campy mundanity that gets boring pretty quickly.

Slight interest because of the sheer wonky unusualness of the film but ultimately not much to recommend this in my opinion.
