A Cinematic Addiction
By Chris Wilkins from Winchester, England , 10 Feb 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Harrowing, brutal and gut wrenching, 'Requiem' is one film that reverses, spins and spits out the normally passive senses and emotions that one receives with a film watching. The audience is jerked into sitting up straight with the visceral editing, the subtle and jarring score and haunted performances of the cast. Discursive, intrusive, and abrasive, a truely individual and affecting piece of cinema.- Was this review helpful to you?

Waste of time, pointLess experience.
By a customer , 01 Jun 2013Utter, utter rubbish. No plot, no story. Disjointed, nihilistic boredom. Tried fast forwarding after an hour to see if something happened but no good. Only ever not finished watching a film once before so am usually able to find something I can get from a film, but not this one. Wast of film/ video!- Was this review helpful to you?

Brutal yet brilliant
By a customer , 26 May 2013Wow! A brutal, brilliant, and beautifully edited film. Not one for the weak-hearted, as the subject matter could shock and disturb. But if you're willing to sit through some tough-to-watch scenes - especially near the end - you'll walk away from this amazed. The acting, direction, and score are all near perfection - this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. The plight of the characters will haunt you days after watching it, as the performances make them so believable you can't help but feel for them - even after the credits roll. If you love films and haven't seen this yet, then you should.- Was this review helpful to you?

uncomfortable but stunning
By a customer , 09 May 2013A stunning film. Not a put your feet up with a box of choices film, as it is at times uncomfortable to watch. It doesn't treat its audience as mindless idiots who need everything to be wrapped up in a shiny happy movie bow. The acting is unforgettable, especially the male lead Jared Leto. I recommend this film to anyone who wants a bit more from a movie- Was this review helpful to you?

Absolutely Epic!
By a customer , 26 Mar 2013This for me was just cinema gold, and by far Darren Aronofsky's masterpiece. The acting is beautifully handled by the cast. The shooting and editing brilliantly put together. All topped of with an epic soundtrack (clint mansel blew me away) that guides you through the film. I came away from this with so many mixed emotions, most of them sad ones, but none the less i was effected in a good way and thoroughly recommend this to anyone.- Was this review helpful to you?
