A Cinematic Addiction
By Chris Wilkins from Winchester, England , 10 Feb 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Harrowing, brutal and gut wrenching, 'Requiem' is one film that reverses, spins and spits out the normally passive senses and emotions that one receives with a film watching. The audience is jerked into sitting up straight with the visceral editing, the subtle and jarring score and haunted performances of the cast. Discursive, intrusive, and abrasive, a truely individual and affecting piece of cinema.- Was this review helpful to you?

(377)uncomfortable but stunning
By a customer , 09 May 2013A stunning film. Not a put your feet up with a box of choices film, as it is at times uncomfortable to watch. It doesn't treat its audience as mindless idiots who need everything to be wrapped up in a shiny happy movie bow. The acting is unforgettable, especially the male lead Jared Leto. I recommend this film to anyone who wants a bit more from a movie- Was this review helpful to you?

Absolutely Epic!
By a customer , 26 Mar 2013This for me was just cinema gold, and by far Darren Aronofsky's masterpiece. The acting is beautifully handled by the cast. The shooting and editing brilliantly put together. All topped of with an epic soundtrack (clint mansel blew me away) that guides you through the film. I came away from this with so many mixed emotions, most of them sad ones, but none the less i was effected in a good way and thoroughly recommend this to anyone.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Good Reviews Must Be The Makers Of This!
By Tranced (135 reviews) from Bridlington , 11 Mar 2013Definately one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The good reviews on this I am convinced are the people involved with the making of this movie or they were on drugs of some sort whilst viewing this. There is no point to this dark nonsense. There is nothing to shock anyone here. The suspenseful soundtrack has no relation at all to the picture. The cast are just horrible to watch. The acting is very poor. The quality of the picture and scenery is beyond depressing in this very low budget waste of time. The whole movie just goes around in a circle repeating itself which just drives you mad. To top it all off the ending is beyond pathetic.- Was this review helpful to you?

Will give you nightmares.
By Bobsview (554 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 03 Mar 2013A shocking tale about a son on a slippery descent into a drunk addiction hell, and his mother who goes insane through addiction to slimming pills. Hard to watch towards the end, as a group of lives are destroyed. You would never inject heroin if you watched this film.- Was this review helpful to you?
