Better than my lofty expectations
By insanebassist (16 reviews) from Worcester , 28 Jun 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
This film is truely fantastic and it is all down to simplicity, great direction from Tarentino and an amazing script which uses such abrupt and at points crass dialogue that shows that Reservoir Dogs will not tip toe around any reservations the viewer might have, this film tells you it is great and dares you to disagree with it. For fans of Tarentino this will be a major treat especially if you have seen Pulp Fiction as the crossover characters and parrallels increase both films mastery of the cinematic art, but even for first time viewers of his work this film will force you into either loving the film or risk mental anihilation.
The films use of simplicity is fanatastic and almost unseen in major hollywood films as the films cast is only 8-9 characters deep and thats including minor roles, and if you were to include extras it wouldn't reach 30 members, this shows to the cinema world that a massive budget and a packed cast is superfluous for a good film. Tim Roth's, Michael Keiten's and Michael Madsen's acting is superb and Roth's portrail of how unneccessery over masculinity is in male acting is fantastic and is brought out through the stellar script.
10/10 a greater modern day gangster film there is not.- Was this review helpful to you?

5 stars all round
By Deano_BHA (16 reviews) , 28 Mar 2013This film is fantastic, I have been wanting to watch this for a long time as I kept hearing / seeing that it is a classic and one of the best films evere, I have to say I was a bit worrid at 1st as the same people said that about 'The Godfather' which was 1 of the worst films ever, but anyways I watched it and have to say it's one of my fav films and for anyone to say it's rubbish they must be mad.- Was this review helpful to you?

Total Garbage
By a customer , 08 Dec 2012Watched this as it supposed to be a classic. Well it was absolute rubbish. Just stylized, arty nonsense. Glorifying the horrors of violence with no content. What a waste of an evening.- Was this review helpful to you?

Tarantino's Best Film
By GaryI (785 reviews) from March, Cambs , 05 Dec 2012To me this is still Tarantino's best film, it was so innovative and narratively different back in 1993 its hard to remember nowadays with his style being evident in many movies. Even after many viewings this great little independent movie gives up new secrets. Brilliant cast, great script (you'll learn what Like A Virgin is actually about!) and directed with a refreshing disregard to convention.- Was this review helpful to you?
