Heading for extinction!!!
By a customer from County Antrim, NI , 19 Oct 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
I am an absolutely huge fan of Resident Evil, having played all the games and loved both Resident Evil 1 & 2 movies.
However, the 3rd instalment just didn't cut it at all:
It was extremely short,
The ending was not so much a cliffhanger, but more like the rest of the movie was missing,
The signature mutant monster was unbelievably rubbish and the actor obviously forgot how to act once he was in full make-up!
Alice is so busy utilising her mutant super-powers, she doesn't do much of what she does best - kick ass!
Resident evil is based on a pretty good story, so I was really disappointed how much they messed up with this one - I hope the fourth movie ends the saga fittingly, or the whole series will really be heading for extinction.

(251)Really really good!
By Groovesy (3 reviews) , 05 Jan 2013Thought this was fantastic. Better than Apocalypse, and a very different feel to the first two movies, and a really brilliant (and successful) attempt at not just re-hashing the previous plots. On the down side I wish they hadn't bothered with Alice's 'Jedi' powers, I'm cool with the super strength stuff etc, but that was a step too far for me. On the up side Milla Jovovich is as hot, and kick asss as ever. I'm off to watch Afterlife now! Superb.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not extinct yet
By RJNeb2 (922 reviews) from London , 14 May 2012The third Resident Evil movie is probably the most enjoyable with its Mad Max vibe as stray bands of survivors club together to protect themselves from the zombie apocalypse. Milla Jovovich is back on board as Alice who has now evolved some superpowers which make her even more kick-a**. The subversive corporation subplot is a little tiresome now and rather bizarrely Jovovichs face frequently is given some CGI airbrushing. But its good and bloody, plenty of action and features a zombie crow setpiece that is genuinely impressive.- Was this review helpful to you?

Progressively better
By NESlami (18 reviews) from Leeds , 08 Mar 2012Not as good as Afterlife but better than 1 and 2. One of the few series of films that get better with each release. Watch it if you like sci-fi/action/horror.- Was this review helpful to you?
