The final part of the videogame-derived Resident Evil trilogy is the least boring. Faint praise, perhaps, but one... read more on Time Out
I am an absolutely huge fan of Resident Evil, having played all the games and loved both Resident Evil 1 & 2 movies.
However, the 3rd instalment just didn't cut it at all:
It was extremely short,
The ending was not so much a cliffhanger, but more like the rest of the movie was missing,
The signature mutant monster was unbelievably rubbish and the actor obviously forgot how to act once he was in full make-up!
Alice is so busy utilising her mutant super-powers, she doesn't do much of what she does best - kick ass!
Resident evil is based on a pretty good story, so I was really disappointed how much they messed up with this one - I hope the fourth movie ends the saga fittingly, or the whole series will really be heading for extinction.
Not impressed!!
The best of the Resident Evil collection, everything about this film is amzing. The mutated Monster at the end was easily better than the one at the end of Resident Evil 2. The beginning starts off good and gets better throughout the film. The best film ive seen !!EVER!!
so good my brain was hurting from all the goodness.
Exactly what you expect to see if youve seen the others....reminded me a bit of Mad Max but still worth a watch !!!
a grate third film to this one of film

Iwasn't expecting much from Resident evil-Extiction but i actually quite enjotyed it. I thought the first film was rubbish, the 2nd one a bit better but largely forgettable but this surprised me. Things kick off right after the events in pt 2. The action is fantastic and the scenes of the thousands of zombies were well done and quite moody.
A good sat night popcorn flick,if like me you've been bemused as to the popularity of the previous 2 movies then give this a go as it may be to your liking.

I really liked this 3rd enstallment - great action and effects. I was a fan of 1 and 2 and the third did not disappoint.
Worth watching just to see Milla Jovovich and the stunning Ali Larter.
Personally I don't think there is as much action as the last 2 films but it is brilliant anyway.... a must see if you have seen the last 2... Fans of Alice, who as we know is already infected, will love the scenes with the blackbirds. Look out for it.
When you rent a title like this you pretty much know what to expect, and of the action movie genre the Resident Evil trilogy are amongst the most enjoyable. This latest offering is just as entertaining as the two previous movies, high paced action and well constructed story line that follows smoothly through all three films. The story picks up where Resident Evil 2 left off, only now the virus has spread and the world is over-run by the infected creating a 28 Days Later/Land of the Dead feel. Alice and a group of survivors must battle their way through the infected whilst the Umbrella Corp continue to pursue the walking zombie killer Alice. The acting is fine for this kind of movie and the pace is high making for entertaining viewing almost throughout, my only real criticism was the ending, it was so tacky and thoughtless. Overall fans of the genre and of the first two movies should enjoy whilst your classic zombie movie fans might also take something from this 3rd movie, a shame they could not end this one in right style. High paced action and an easy watch. 8/10.
