Slow old school...

I'm just thinking that maybe I am too old to be playing this sort of game...
It is a cross between final fantasy and well, final fantasy. I thought the start was slow, and didn't get much further than that. The scenery was nice and the screenshots showed promise, but the game was just dull from the word go.
It is a typical japanese RPG, nothing new.
May suit those with children, or those who enjoy wandering round talking to lots of people and randomly getting attacked for no reason whatsoever.
I don't know where these 5* ratings came from but I bet they ain't from people who have actually played it!- Was this review helpful to you?

Not worth the time.
By a customer , 15 Aug 2011I have been a big RPG fan in my lifetime and this is the worst one I have come across in years.
The storyline is pretty much unnoticeable thorough 60% of the game and when you do catch on to the story it doesn't draw you in like most other RPG's. (picture it like going fishing and after 50 hours you finally get a nibble and pull up a boot...seriously it was like that)
The battle system was rubbish, the fact that you had to waste turns collecting items from enemies was a really bad idea, it got me killed a few times. It also took way too much to get used to the battle system and even though I played it through to completion, I really do feel it was a waste of a rent.
If you want a good RPG stick to Final Fantasy, Dragon Age, Grandia, Tales of Vesperia...anything but this game. Sega please, please stick to doing what you do best and make some more Sonic and Yakuza etc.- Was this review helpful to you?
