A very disappointing film with awful acting by John Lithgow, the main character. This film had a really poor storyline and was saved from disaster by Morgan Freeman.

What a film!! It's the kind I could watch again and again and never tire of it. Well acted, sensitive and heartwarming, I would highly recommend this one!!!

QUITE A SWEET FILM, ALTHOUGH WITH A SERIOUS TOPIC.

    NOT A FILM FOR ENTERTAINMENT.

    GOOD ACTING PERFORMANCES

This is an enjoyable film although a little slow. It is hard to believe the racism that ,went on in America especially as the guy who died was a 'hero' who served his country. Morgan Freeman is one of my favourite actors and in this he was overshadowed by the persistent Army officer. A nice one!!!!!!! worth an evenings entertainment.
