[Highly rated reviewer]Good follow up story to the original Magnificent Seven ... much on the same lines as before in another setting ... if you liked the first one, see this next gritty version.
Don't bother.By a customer from Devon, England , 15 Apr 2006I have to second the reviewer who said 'Absolute rubbish, don't bother.' I figured even if it wasn't going to be as good as 'The Magnificent Seven' it would probably at least an enjoyable couple of hours with a so-so western. Not even. It was really hard going. It was so tedious we couldn't watch it all the way through. 'The Magnificent Seven' had a gripping story, crackling script, superb acting, and top notch directing, but none of these make an appearance here. A good example of how it can all go so wrong. The story was flimsy and unengaging without any dramatic impetus at all, the script was drab and lifeless, a number of actors were just not up to it. The direction was competent enough, I suppose, but there nothing to grab you. All together it was just hard going. Without any hint of sarcasm, the one thing I liked was the sets, I thought they were very well done. Apart from that, a couple of the actors were okayish, but even Brunner looked awkward with nothing of substance to work with or against. A really boring film. Quite simply not worth bothering with.

OK Corral it's notBy Michael Wheeler from East London , 06 Oct 2005Another attempt at a sequal. Like most it does not live up to the great original. The only saving grace is Yul Brynner who tries desperately to make the most of the same old plot.
