This is not only a fantastic storyline but you almost feel part of the Lonesome Dove family. I am so glad I watched the DVD collection because I would not have been able to wait for the next episode 1 week later at a time. Great viewing.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 08 Feb 2013I wholeheartedly agree with the reviews from other people. This was truly remarkably. The acting was superb - especially Oliver Reed. I am not normally a fan of Oliver Reed but this has changed my mind - albeit a bit too late now. The storyline was good and the time flew by, so much so, I was disappointed when it ended.- Was this review helpful to you?

Whether you are a Westerns fan or not, Jon Voight was magnificent as the grumpy ex-Texas Ranger and Oliver Reed was a marvellous baddie! Pure escapism!- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer from UK , 23 Jun 2008this film continues on directly from the end of Lonesome Dove.we see many of the characters from the original - clara allen,july johnston, newt, woodrow call, etc - plus numerous new bad guys. throughout the film, Newt matures and towards the end there are changes even in Call. although played by a different actor, Call's distinctive personality remains visible. this is a compulsively watchable film, a brilliant sequel and not to be missed!- Was this review helpful to you?
