A genuinely creepy Ian McKellen plays Richard III in a production a million miles away from the sterile readings of Shakespeare we all used to experience at school. This imaginative and dynamic version moves history to a fascist 1930s. It's supported by an all-star and very charismatic cast although, ?A horse a horse!!?? does seem very silly in this context.
