fish out of water?
By Stephen Woolley from Birmingham , 05 Oct 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
A welcome move from Rick's seafood programmes sees the man (and dog) tour the UK in search of wonderful produce. Everything from farmed oyster beds to black pudding makers. The recipies are wonderfully traditional (including a killer curry) and all are fairly easy to attempt - the rabbit pie was my fave. However, if you cant be bothered - just get a takeaway and watch the fantastic countryside that he passes through. Oh and his rants against corporate hotel food are brill- Was this review helpful to you?

disappointing!
By a customer from Gourock, Scotland. , 06 Aug 2007This DVD was very disappointing for me. I expected lots of recipes that I could use, and food ideas. The majority of the DVD is about his travels to different places. I guess if you want to see him speak to locals and view the scenary, the film would be ok for you, but not if you want recipe ideas!!- Was this review helpful to you?

Food Inspired
By Sheila Stevens from Chester, England , 05 Sep 2006This was a great series and I can recommend it to anyone who is interested in locally sourced locally produced ingredients and their use in regional cooking. The series travels the UK and scenic views are really good too!
An inspiring food series, don't miss it.- Was this review helpful to you?

What I like about Rick...
By Stoneman (33 reviews) from Carmarthen , 11 Feb 2006What I like about Rick Stein`s programmes,is that they are down to earth,---nothing fancy, but sraight forward 'run of the mill' food.
Not being a cook,I appreciate the simpler dishes,----I also like very much, the visiting he does to various sites,an added incentive to try out the items that he features.- Was this review helpful to you?
