DisappointingBy a customer from Preston , 20 Nov 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]I've seen everything Ricky Gervais has done , got all the DVDs and i am a huge fan. This was not that great though. It's his usual non-pc humour, usually it's very funny but this time most of his gags went on too long and weren't even worth the effort when you got to the punchline. Ricky just seemed to have lost the edge a little and has resorted to fat jokes, if you like that then this is your DVD. The extras are just a little creepy instead of been funny, the guy he humiliates, usually inventive and hilarious is forced and a bit embarassing. Come on Ricky you can do better than this.

Suprisingly FunnyBy a customer , 04 Dec 2011I'm not a great fan of Ricky Gervais the person but do like some of his work. Took a chance on his stand up and wasn't expecting much but really enjoyed it. Really funny
Shame ReallyBy tominsptwo (73 reviews) from Wakefield , 16 May 2011I really do like ricky gervais comedy, but this performance lacked a bit of human touch, good laughs but a bit to much 'look how great I am' well done Mr Gervais on your
success but on our money? put me off rather a lot!
The best stand up I've seen in along timeBy jennyw86 (2 reviews) from east sussex , 02 Apr 2011Although I'm not a huge Ricky fan, I have to say this DVD was hilarious. It kept me completely entertained for the whole set and I would thoroughly recommend it to those with a modern sense of humour. The comedy has just the right amount of cheeky offence without being needlessly shocking and the topics are brilliantly covered. If your easily offended then probably best avoided but if your a fine of the current comedy of TV then this is a DVD you'll enjoy.
The weakest of his comedy foils.By Mattowar (17 reviews) from Wath upon Dearne , 12 Jul 2010In comparison to his writing/acting/directing of The Office and Extras, his stand-up is poor.
There's no denying he's a funny, intelligent and knowledgable guy, the TV shows and podcasts attest to that.
His stand-up just falls flat, though. He comes off halfway between the offensive media persona, seemingly offending for the sake of offending and the more humble (it's true!!), intelligent and normal guy we see in Andy Millman and on the podcasts. It doesn't help that the material is very uneven. Some of the jokes just aren't funny.
I'm sure he rakes in a hefty sum from the tickets and DVD sales, so good luck to him.
The chubby funster is back again .By muggs (175 reviews) from Lincoln , England , 29 May 2010Another lecture by the legend , dwarfs , hitler , terminal illness , charity , weight and going commando are just some of the subjects touched by Ricky .
Close to the bone , politicaly uncrerect and one hell of an uncencered smack in the mouth to all his critics .Ricky never holds back never has and never will not with all his awards and t.v. shows , his ego has become a monster .No subject is taboo and Ricky gives 110% full on laughs straight from the belly .
