Adapted by Andrea Dunbar from two of her controversial plays, this tale of an affair between a married man and two teenage girls caused a right old rumpus on its release. Although much of the shock value has been dissipated by seeing so much of the same on our weekly soaps nowadays, this is still a film to make you squirm as you find yourself unable to decide who is exploiting who, where the blame lies and how to respond to jokes that are uproariously funny despite their political incorrectness. A decade on, the three characters still exist in abundance, and it is to the credit of Michelle Holmes, Siobhan Finneran and George Costigan that they pitch their performances so perfectly.

    Hot to trot!

For some reason I really can't fathom, it is hard to totally dislike Alan Parker's gritty little film Rita, Sue and Bob Too, though common sense sometimes suggests you should.

Estate Agent Bob gives his bleach blond wife everything her hard little heart desires, but she won't give him anything in return. Enter erstwhile 'babysitters' Rita and Sue, who will get their knickers down for Bob in less time than it takes to count to 3!

Many characters and locales ring deafingly true here, despite the film's many hiccups, especially if you can overlook the idea of a flash over-aged 'lad' like Bob lusting after a couple of over-grown, sex-mad school girls who isn’t exactly oil paintings...Sex mad being the operative word!

    An 80s Classic

This is one of the funniest & most cringeworthy films you are ever likely to watch!

For anyone over the age of 30, you will be instantly transported back to the decade that style forgot. Anyone under 30, watch it to see what you missed!

Vile characters - Bob after having sex with 2 schoolgirls - "I thought I were great!".

A traumatic, bittersweet, vile film that you can watch over & over again.

    Rent it now!
