This gloriously brainless, modern-day western, is a treat from start to finish and possibly the one and only time that a bouncer will ever get the full Hollywood hero treatment. Patrick Swayze, with a commendable straight face, plays the softly spoken doorman who brings order and just a little karma to the unruly Double Deuce bar, which is under threat from unsavoury characters and local hoodlums. Kelly Lynch plays the token love interest, but the best roles go to Sam Elliott as Swayze's old buddy and Ben Gazzara as the villain of the piece. It's directed by the aptly named Rowdy Herrington.
Rowdy action movie that provides unthinking enjoyment.
Easty to watch, understand, engaging, funny. A cheesy film which I rewatch more than any other film I own. Not even my sort of thing, but for some reason, I like it.
Classic
Patrick Swayze kicks but in the cheesy 80/90's beet them up, cheesy one liners with usual storyline of small town under control by small town villain Swayze comes in to town to clear up
For the pure classic cheese/action of the films made during this time have given it a 4* rating.
