And Daniel Craig was very good too!By younglochinvar (66 reviews) from Prestatyn , 18 Sep 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]Intelligent and thought provoking and, with the exception of Jude Law's over the top hitman, very well acted. Newman as always is brilliant as is Tom Hank's take on a gangster of that era. Great direction, particularly the gunfire in the dark.

FantasticBy a customer from Rugby , 20 Aug 2009One of my favourite all time films.
Tom Hanks is amazing and if he hadn't already won Oscars he would (and in my opinion should) have won one for this. Jude Law is a big surprise. Infact all the actors are fantastic.
Every aspect of film fits together beautifully, the pace of it keeps you gripped. A truly tragic story that leaves me an emotional wreck everytime.
I really can't praise this film enough (from a person who thinks American Beauty is completely overrated)
Road To PerditionBy Laurajf84 (10 reviews) from Ellesmere Port , 16 Aug 2009There isn't really a Tom Hanks film that I don't like and to be honest I wasn't disappointed by this one. Although I will admit that I found it a bit slow and I do think that some of his other films are far better. But I still found it to be an enjoyable film to watch. Worth a watch if you like Tom Hanks!
And it started so well...By Slurs from Scotland , 07 Jul 2009Looks great, good performances from one and all. Even Tom Hanks, despite some opinions voiced here, was interesting as a troubled hitman with responsibilities (and I generally have no time for the man). And then TH shifted into the emoting, sympathetic, huggy, touchy, feely gear that I find so irritating and unconvincing and pretty unlikely (surely?) even in a troubled hitman. The kid was good - shame about the voice over though. A good watch in the beginning, but failed to deliver in the end.
hard hittingBy NicolaJ (21 reviews) from Surbiton , 06 Jul 2009Good film - hard hitting - good story, no hapy ending unfortunately
