All the road films, and I've sat and watched them all again recently, are basically the same format.

But if it's a good format, and it IS, what does that matter ?

The films are not great classics , but they will forever live in cinema history as.....the humour and fun and talent of a particular era.

It's been a treat seeing them all again.

  • Not too brilliant for a "Road" film, but still plenty of fun.

First of the 'Road' series and it shows. Still funny but Hope and Crosby haven't quite mastered their art of ignoring the script and the party scene in particular appears to owe more to the Marx Brothers than anything else but with Crosby and Hope at the helm, how could it be anything but great ?

An OK film. Some of the jokes were a bit forced, weak and the comedy not as spontaneous as I would like.
