Sadly, they really don't make them like this any more. Released 20 months after it was completed, this is among the best of a much-loved series, with Bing and Bob as down-at-heel entertainers posing as hardened prospectors in order to get their hands on a Klondike gold map. Told as an elongated flashback and blessed with a mocking commentary by Robert Benchley, the film contains a wealth of the insider gags that were a trademark of these freewheeling comedies. Complete with the obligatory squabble over Dorothy Lamour, talking animals and the familiar pat-a-cake fight sequence, the 90-minutes simply fly by.

Would only be appreciated by fans of the Duo, but is a pretty poor sample of what they can actually enjoy of the Road Series, I could only give it to Two stars in relation to movie reviews.There are far better Road Films than this one
