Three episodes from the third series based on the legendary outlaw. In 'The Inheritance', young Isadora asks Robin (Jason Connery) for his help when she and her father Agrivaine, guardians of a priceless treasure, fall prey to a pair of pillagers. 'The Sheriff of Nottingham' sees the present Sheriff replaced by Philip Mark (Lewis Collins) - 'The Butcher of Lincoln' - who immediately sets about capturing Robin and his men. In 'The Cross of St Ciricus', Robin discovers a hidden connection between himself and the victim of a robbery whom he comes across in the road.

Why did the first Robin Hood run off to Dynasty?

Robin of Sherwood was my favorite program on TV as a pre-teen. (My long suffering friend was made to re-inact the long staff fighting scenes in our garden). As a thirty something on a nostalgia trip I bought the 1st 2 series then rented series 3. The magic is still there even viewed through cynical adult eyes. And the acting especially Nicolas Grace as the Sheriff is way above the average quality for childrens TV. The only winge really is the sucessor to Mr Praed, I get the feeling his famous name landed him the role, not his acting ability.
