Another good movie by Ranbir Kapoor. Well acted. Thats some thing you would expect from Yash Chopra production. Story line is good. Based on a new comer strugling to stay honest in a rat race world. Worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

(24)Poor offering from YRF
By pssst (2 reviews) , 20 May 2013Poor offering from YRF and Ranbir Kappoor, and not the typical YRF story. It was the 1st. Ranbir Kapoor film I've watched. Not only did he look terribly ugly, but also he could not keep the story from being dull. I think he should stick to 'the run of the mill' standardised typical bollywood films or multi starrers because he definately does not have the ability or carisma required for a role like this that relies solely on the main actor without any razza-matazz. Being a fan of YRF and the Kapoor Clan (especially his mum & dad) I expected great things from this film. The film may have done better with say Farhan Akhtar or Abay Deol (Kartik calling Kartik, Dev D & Manorama 6 feet under) both of whom don't rely on their looks as their main attraction.- Was this review helpful to you?

Nutshell review: Surprisingly, Shimit Amin's 'Rocket Singh' is a disappointing film. So much potential wasted!.
By Theorist (3 reviews) from Manchester , 14 Feb 2012The potential I am referring to is that of the story.
I was really looking forward to this film after seeing Shimit Amin's directorial debut 'Chak De! India', in which everything worked really well and the screenplay kept you hooked. The music was also ideal for the film.
The main problems with Amin's second outing are simple: the screenplay is uninteresting, and the dialogues are too plain. After Ranbir Kapoor's character begins work as a salesman, things seem to get less and less interesting as the film progresses. There are no moments that evoke laughter or generally any elements that entertain the viewer or capture the viewer's attention, apart from maybe Ranbir's look in the film. Even that gets boring after a while, sadly. I switched it off after 45 minutes of dullness, after giving the film a chance. Any film that doesn't get your attention in that time is definitely not worth a watch. I recommend UDAAN and 3 IDIOTS if your looking for inspiring, entertaining and intelligent cinema. This film doesn't even compare to those two. Hugely disappointing!!!!!!- Was this review helpful to you?
