So many of you that will have rented this will be fans of Ross Kemp on gangs and Ross Kemp in Afghanistant, as am I, so in search of pirates sounds like another brilliant Ross adventure. Well I'm sorry to tell you Kemp fans, this is no where near the standard of his previous documentaries. The key is in the title, 'In search of', very clever, because all Ross does for the first two, and half of the third episode is look for pirates, with no luck whatsoever. You don't see a pirate till the third episode! There is a lot of waiting around for phone calls, and all sorts of other unrelated rubbish, I sadly think they set out to do something they couldn't achieve, and the documentary reaks of disappointment. I personally would say do not waste a rental on this, and if you are a big Ross fan, don't suffer the disappointment.

I like the fact that Kemp gets right down to the nitty gritty instead of 'faffing' about. It's not one of the best that I have seen of his compared to his other documentaries but it still made me really interested and was a compelling watch.

I was expecting this to be as good as Gangs and Afghanistan, but it fell short of my expectations
