Terrifying, moving and authentic
This series by Ross Kemp was fantastic as it allows people at home to experience the real horrors that our soldiers face on ops. Being a soldier myself I could not miss a second of this and you will see how brave our soldiers are and that they are all 'Heroes'.
you would'nt see any of the news network correspondant's,get as close to the frontline
as ross kemp does here. as he focuses on various british army regiments, and their daliy
duties on the fight against the taliban, he capture's the mood and moral of the mainly young troops very well. this being ross kemp's second return to afghanistan he manages to give
the viewer a much better insight on how troop's winning the fight as well as winning
over the local's support.
well put together.
I have wanted to see this on tv but havnt got sky, and after renting it thought it was awesome, he gets shot at, rpg'd, mines the lot it shows alot about the war you wouldnt be able to find anywhere else!

I used to be in the armed forces and trust me this makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. Its real life and as close as you will probably get to a war zone. Although I hated Ross Kemp in Eastenders, he has gone up in my estimations after this great series. A must watch!
Being a soldier and having just returned from my 3rd tour of 'The Ghan' I have to applaud the work Ross has done on showing the Britsh public what life out there is like. The only small dissapointment I had was that he only ever really mentioned the infantry regiments out there and just skimmed over the rest. Being a Royal Engineer and on the ground alot with the infantry it would have been nice to see the work we put in.
In summary anybody wanting to know whats its like for a soldier out there watch this.
This was fantastic and should be seen by everybody just to see what our Lads do in a war conflict!!
An almost shocking insight into the troops in Afghanistan
I have been gripped by both series of Ross Kemp in Afghanistan. What a superb programme that is both moving and honest in portraying life for the service men and women on the ground in Afghanistan. Well done to Ross Kemp and his team for a fantastic series.
Shows the true grim realities of this pointless
war and the good our soldiers do in helping the injured civilians that are in the middle of it all.
This dvd cannot be recommended enough!! The series shows you what being in the frontline looks like. The day to day bravery of British soldiers presented here is awe inspiring. Ross Kemp looks at the men he is with with respect and admiration and so should we!!
