The town of Roswell, New Mexico, has been haunted for decades with accounts of a looming alien presence. The popular television series ROSWELL takes that concept one step further, as aliens become everyday teenagers. Four alien-human hybrids (Shiri Appleby, Jason Behr, Katherine Heigl, Brendan Fehr) have been sent to Earth to wait for the day when they'll return to their planet and save their race, but they don't really know that yet. But for now, their battles are the everyday struggles that normal teenagers must face, like spots and school. Blending straight drama with elements of sci-fi, ROSWELL is an engaging drama that works on numerous levels. This release contains every episode from the show's first season.

This series had me and the wife hooked for weeks. After watching the 1st series, 3 or 4 episodes a night, we went out the day after finishing it and bought the next 2 series and watched them with as much excitement as the 1st series. The charectors are well written, the script leaves you needing to watch the next episode as soon as the 1st one is finished. A good soundtrack, though different from the One when aired on Sky TV for costing reasons. Hense it taking an age to be reliesed on DVD. Well worth watching.
This was once described to me as 'Dawson's Creek with Aliens,' but thankfully it's not that bad (obviously I'm not a DC fan). 'Roswell' does contain some teenage love meladrama, but not to the extent that it ruins the programme. The saving graces are the varied mix of characters and the interesting story arc. Not certain I will rent season 2. Depends how season 1 progresses. Things are looking good so far.
