An extension of both the film and book versions of STARSHIP TROOPERS, this brilliantly rendered CGI series follows the adventures of new Space Marine recruit Johnny Rico, a member of an elite killing squadron known as Razak's Roughnecks. The Roughnecks are holding the line against a spacefaring alien-insect menace intent on destroying Earth. In this volume, the Troopers land on a desert planet, where a group of humanoid Skinnies proves to be strangely hospitable. Before long, a group of massive crawlers moves in to attack.

This review is virtually identical to the one I did for The Hydora Campaign, but what I said then is still valid for this release.
If you like the others, you'll like this. It's similiar to the original film in feel, but computer animated, with massively reduced violence/gore levels and most of the political commentary missing. Otherwise, it's a fun, if predictable action movie. Because it's a number of short stories spliced into a single movie, the plot is a little jumpy, but it still works quite well.
The biggest problem with this disc, is that the distributors completely screwed up the title. This is really volume 3, not volume 4. Also volumne 3 should be volume 2 and volume 2 should be volume 4. So because I watched volume 2, The Tesca Campaign, before this I had a good idea what's going to happen. So if you're going to watch all these DVDs, watch them in the order 1,3,4,2,5 and 6.
