    [Highly rated reviewer]

The tv movie answer to Speed. Ridiculous, trashy fun. Three stereotypes trapped in a car - the black street kid, the nurse-who-must-regain-her-nerve, the up-tight business man, and a baby. Implausibly they've just met, and by a freak of chance the car is a death trap that won't stop. And the bridge is out. And they have to rescue the baby via a harness tied to a helicopter. I was glued to the screen...

I found this film quite enjoyable but had great difficulty in believing that it was based on fact.

It seems that the vehicle concerned not only failed to stop, due to faulty brakes, but then could not be switched off (faulty ignition switch)and could not be taken out of gear (faulty transmission ).

Any ONE of these problems is feasible but ,come on, ALL THREE?

The actors did a good job with the material they were given and kept the suspense level high but I could not rate this film higher than 3 stars and was a little disappointed with the overall result.
