In a typical tale of “The American Dream”, Michael Douglas is an unemployed father of two who tries to sort out all of his domestic problems by bidding to join the Olympic marathon team. Not really illustrative of Douglas's subsequent career, this is an obvious attempt to cash in on the running craze of the late seventies, but fails to get off the starting blocks.

    Very very poor

Possibly the worst film I've ever had the misfortune to sit through. Mind you, the final scene will stay with me forever in a 'I can't believe they let this happen' style, so at least it's memorable.

But for 16 days this spring it will be showing many of the films that were scored at the St John's Wood site in an exclusive festival. The films to be screened range from blockbusters such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Raiders of the Lost... Read more
