Crime fighting has never been so hazardous--or funny. Chopsocky action star Jackie Chan reteams with motormouth Chris Tucker in this RUSH HOUR sequel as the mismatched cop duo investigate several bombings in Hong Kong attributed to Chinese gang leader Ricky Tan (John Lone) and an assassin (Zhang Ziyi), whose beautiful, balletic .. "...[The] full orchestra action music works like an energy boost on the ears....Tucker is louder, more aggressive and funnier this time....Zhang, of course, owns the screen..."
"...Mr. Chan dances through some uproarious martial-arts battles....Mr. Chan and Mr. Tucker are always fun to watch. Mr. Tucker has an unusual comic talent..."
Amiable sequel that makes little demands on its audience, other than lie back and enjoy the fights and racial bickering between the two leads.
Chan & Tucker go again..... Another outing, another pairing, action, wit, jokes, silliness, seriousness all thrown in for good measure. Comedy is for all to watch, its better watching it in company, and people with a sense of humour and vision - saying that, just to even see 'Chan' execute perfect martial arts choreography and he chucks out a joke or 3 along with 'Tucker' being his funny foolish self! Bottom line, if you dont like black comics with a kinda street comedy humour, this will not be your cup of tea, if you're open minded, go watch Part 1 first, I promise you, its comedy at a very high level, again, Jackie Chan's not brilliant english, itself plays its part in knowing that he steps up a level in adding humour value along with his martial arts expertise. For me Tucker again is excellent, its action, again, to do with organised crime, searching them out, as this time Tucker goes to Hong Kong in Chan's territory - JUST GET IT FOR THE OUTTAKES, they are hilarious as with Part 1 also.
Not a bad film but was a bit disappointed. Suppose you would put this down as a classic to pass the time.
Great combination of action and laughs... If you like action movies and comedy - you will like this :O)

So you've seen the first film, now here comes more of the same. It is straight into the action and plot with this follow up, since the characters have already been introduced in the previous outing. Do not let that put you off, you could quite easily watch this film without having seen the first film beforehand.
This film is how sequels should be shot, another adventure rather than a follow up. How many people have watched the Bond films in order, the same applies here.
The Jackie Chan fast action Kung fu slap-stick is mirrored by the wisecracks from the equally fast paced mouth of Chris Tucker.
If you enjoy Jackie's films you will not be disappointed and if some of you are feeling a little put of by Chris Tucker then don't - give this film a go.
More of this please Jackie!
i think this film is great
its as good as the first and you dont need to watch the first rush hour to get the jist of the film all round great fun film 1 to be watched time and time again
Action from start to finish with the usual Jacky Chan humour. Nothing too gruesome. Much witty repartee between the 2 leading men.
Disappointing follow up to it previous Rush hour. The fighting sequences are impressive and there are odd bits of humour - but unfortunately for me this is a pale reminder of the original. will they make a third?
jackie chan what more do i need to say, good light hearted film, wiht a half decent plot, lots of martial arts in it, brilliant outtakes as per usual at the end, worth watching just for the end out takes
i do like these type of films, if you enjoyed the first one i recommend the second. funny too.

"...Chan's acrobatic high jinks play strikingly well off of Tucker's wiseass humor..."
