Don't rent this film!!!

I very rarely turn a film off, but there is only so much I can take and this film had to go. I could not sit through the uncomfortableness that this film invoked in me. I watched it with my partner and my Mum and we were all in agreement about the crass humour and the awkwardness of this movie. I know 1 and 2 were not a wit fest, but at least they were enjoyable, this film just made me angry with its line upon line of sexist and racist jokes. At one point Chris Tucker is holding a gun to a taxi drivers head, because he said American's are violent and he doesn't like them, and forces him to sing the American national anthem! This same taxi driver picks them up later confessing that the car chase he experiences with them was so enthralling that he wants to be an American and starts using American lingo and donning American trinkets. This is so offensive, please don't bother you will be dissappointed!

Rush Hour 3

Another Rush Hour and another disapointment. It seems the the Rush Hour series gets worse with each chapter. Lee and Carter this time conduct thier business in France and you've guess it, the jokes were that of what you would expect from past efforts but with a french flavour. The jokes were really few and far inbetween and after watching the film all the way through I found the outtakes during the end credits better than the film itself. After 3 Rush Hour films you can't help feeling that the Chan and Tucker chemistry just isn't on par comapared to Chan and Wilson (Shanghai Noon / Shanghai Knights). Jackie just seems better being himself in those roles and allows him to do what he's best at. Rush Hour forces Chan to play a foreign cop in a foreign land most of the times and for some reason the jokes and dialogue just doesn't seem to flow. The worse part is the Rush Hour trilogy gets worse as the it goes one. If you've not seen the Rush Hour films I recommend you see Rush Hour 1. If you want to see Jackie Chan paired with as a Hollywood duo I recommmend Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knighs.
