Five stars is not enough for the boys.

well where do I begin, Having been a follower of the buys for almost 25 years and yep that makes me almost 41, this is to date the bast video, DVD trure or pirate I have seen, It is only bettered by seeing them live from the 3rd row at Wembly, (which I did HA!)

Anyone who can sit there and say that it was not most excellent needs to have their head boiled.

the boys have been going now for 30 years and with the exception of a quick change of drumer, Rutsey to Peart in the early day's have been the same line up.

How many other bands can say the same. And make original music album to album.

Granted every one has their favorite era of RUSH, mine being late 70's thru the 80's to 90's.

This DVD has every thing a TRUE fan will love,

Music by the bucket load, humour, behind the scenes footage, and things to unlock!

If nothing else, the rendition of RESIST is worth watching alone.

I love RUSH and have been slightly potty about them since childhood, so maybe I'm a tad biased, but until another band with such originality, flair and pure musical talent that sounds just so sweet comes along.

    I will stick to them

In all a wonderful band, fantastic DVD

    Watch it.....

As a lifelong fan of the Canadian power trio from Toronto, I awaited the release of this with eager anticipation. I have not been dissappointed as this DVD brings to your living room the electrifying atmosphere of a live Rush show with the bands first ever concert in Rio. All the Rush classics are here (with the exception of Xanadu) and the South American audience lap up each song with incredible excitement. My only gripe is the sound quality which has been recorded using inferior and outdated equipment. Also, the fervour of the crowd frequently drown out the bands playing. There are also perhaps too many camera angle changes almost every couple of seconds which I found unneccesary. Overall though a must for any Rush fan and a good intro to those new to the band. This is the closest and next best thing to seeing Rush live. They have, however, just embarked on a 2004 world tour(probably their last) so make sure you catch one of the best live rock acts ever. Rock on!

    Superb

As others have said this is about as good as you'll get short of going to a concert.OK there are occasions when the soundtrack gets a little ropey but generally everything is sweet. Its quite strange to see 60,000 young brazilians mad for it,singing along to all those famous tracks, apparently Rush had never toured Brazil which turned out to have a huge, fanatical fan base. The second disc documentary is a very interesting piece.

Well worth a watch even if you're not a great fan.

    Ho hum

Ho hum. Interesting to see where they've got to, but I don't think the atmosphere of the live show comes across, and most of the video inserts are missed. They apparently threw it together in a hurry on the day and that's how it feels.

I've liked rush for over 20 years now but this is the best live thing they have ever done. Theve recently completed a UK tour...I only hope I've not missed my chance to see them live for myself. 5/5.

    Still Rock

This is one of the best live DVD's ever from a band who know how to play and still know how to rock. to the reviewers who have only given this one or 2 stars stick to your Korn or 182 or whatever rubbish you like because you have obviously no taste in music whatsoever

Good but the guy above has a point

Fantastic performance by the group as always. I would have happily given this 5 stars if it wern't for the fact that geddy's singing voice is drowned out by the crowd for many ( but not all ) of the songs. However there is no drowning out the awesome sound coming from their instruments. If like me, you can't help yourself but sing a long, and air guitar anyway, then its still great !
