Worth a rental - nothing more

The game itself was fun, but very short. Given the time frame between this and the old SSX games, i don't feel they went in the right direction. I'm pleased i was able to rent it, rather than buy it.- Was this review helpful to you?

(17)Good but no cigar!
By Lavaskajunkie (13 reviews) from Plymouth , 23 Oct 2012Did not grip me like the original, it had the same elements, in fact more but their was something missing. With different challenges across the faces and different kit which modifies the way you look i certainly enjoyed it but after about 6 hours became stale. Maybe it is my maturity or the development of current games but this one just was not for me. If you are a snowboarding/skating fan then you will love this one!- Was this review helpful to you?

ssx returns
By B1GGUN76 (3 reviews) , 17 Oct 2012A great snow boarding game but is missing the fun of the original. New to ssx will enjoy, fans of the original will possibly be a little disappointed.- Was this review helpful to you?

Lost it's fun...!?
By evilpeacenik (3 reviews) , 20 Sep 2012If like me, you loved the old SSX Tricky, then this is not for you. Playability is poor in comparison.
World Locations,Terrain and Graphics are good, but the developers have not done a good job of bringing back any of the 'piz-zazz' and fun that I remember from SSX.
Overall, I could only give this game 2 Stars due to my personal expectations of it being a great game but then being met with a boring and uninteresting one.- Was this review helpful to you?

Where is the splitscreen?
By Kadajacs (1 review) , 13 Aug 2012I was looking for this game for a long time purely because of my childhood memories of whooping my friends and family when they come to visit me. This is however no longer possible as the game has no split-screen capabilities at all. The only way you can play other people is if they also happen to have the game(and i know nobody who got it). This leaves only the single player which dont get me wrong is still a good play, while it lasts. It saddens me to see classic games i haved loved since childhood to fall victim to the stupid craze online multiplayer is the only multiplayer(and even that you had to pay for, cmon EA stop being greedy)- Was this review helpful to you?

Handles like a sofa while going 170mph!!!!
By conradp (6 reviews) from cornwall , 27 Jun 2012This is a pretty game and I like the idea of deadly decents but it doesn't handle as easily as the older SSX games. I know the idea of it is how fast and tricky can u get down a mountain but it just handles badly compared to the older SSX games. It feels ur bouncing around the place more than actually being in control of where ur going. The rewind system annoyed me when u rewind why don't the others rewind with u so u just end up being last soon as u correct ur mistake meaning restarting the whole race is the only way to get back into it. Sucks as it could have been a great game if they kept the old handling system. Plus u need a faster reactions than a cat on lucozade to keep up with it as its a lot faster too than the others.- Was this review helpful to you?
