    [Highly rated reviewer]

What on earth were Christian Slater and Cuba Gooding Jr thinking of when they agreed to star in this amateurish film. Some of the 'actors' in it were awful. The film was really slow and hard to follow at the beginning and really slow all the way through.

    I wouldn't recommend.

No disrespect to a few of the actors in it (Cuba Gooding Jr), but this is one terrible production.

If you want to watch actors shouting at each other non-stop, save your time and watch Jerry Springer!

(If you do watch it, look out for the Songs of Praise tribute at the end!)

  • The worst Sacrifice since Abraham's lame effort

The only Sacrifice here was the 90 minutes of my life that I laid on the altar for this appalling excuse for a film. How Christian Slater and Cuba Gooding Junior ended up in this car crash of a movie I'll never know. Complete rubbish.

Great film with a good story to it. Ignore the crap reviews about the film, they're unjustified. Just watch it.

I thought, 'Cuba Gooding Jr and Christian Slater, can't be that bad'. It is. It's badly written, badly directed and mostly badly acted. Every cliché in the book is wheeled out, and it clunks painfully from one scene to another with flashbacks and voice over filling in for the inadequate script. There's a heavily moody synth-based score which is used in a heavy handed and amateur way to paint over the cracks in this dire little film. I actually left the film running to check my facebook status (something I hate people doing) because it was so dull. The only saving graces were Cuba Gooding Jr - who looks good and struggles to cope with a lacking character and poor storytelling; Christian Slater - who does his low level scene chewing very well still; and surprisingly, Devon Bostick (the older brother in Diary of a Whimpy Kid 1+2), who again struggles with a cliché riddled script and poor characterisation, but comes off quite well in the acting stakes - I'd watch more of him. Overall however, the film is just boring and badly put together. I could not recommend it to anyone, even fans of the lead actors.
