    salaam namaste all!!!!!

It was refreshing to see that they didn`t do what they normally do with an indian film, which is to copy hollywoods latest blockbuster and then shred it to pieces. It had a great soundtrack which made you want to go out and buy the cd immediately. The script was well written. It had all the ingredients to make a good indian film, e.g, emotion, comedy. It is definately worth giving up 3 hours of your life and i would be greatly surprized if salaam namaste wasn`t the new catchprase!!!

    Brave Venture

The movie is a landmark in Indian cinema just for the theme it is based on. Few Indian movies have shown pre -marital sex as a 'matter-of-fact' happening , without any taboo attached to it, as it is in this movie. Another different thing abt this film is that the background / other relations of the main protagonists is kept to a minimum. Of the 4 stars given, 3 are just for the these.

Otherwise, the movie is pretty much typical Indian fare. Boy Meets girl, They sing songs together, they get into a tiff which finally gets resolved and they live happily ever after.

Watch it if u wanna see something different from run of the mill 'Bollywood' fare.

    typicall bollywood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to see beautiful people in stunning settings and even more stunning clothes, without an atom of sense, trying to broach serious subjects with zombie like acting, then yes this film is for you.

    Heart-warmingly cute

Cute little film. Both Saif and Preity act really well, as does Arshad Warsi. A bit of a take off on 9 months, but with some originality too. Javed Jafrey's role was really boring and overdone, as was Abishek's slapstick comeday (?) towards the end.

Perhaps the cutest scene was that of a heavily pregnant Preity dancing in the streets at midnight - totally unbelievable, yet at the same time unbelievably cute ...

    Cheesy

No, all bollywood love stories don't have to be cheesy, and this one was! Disappointing. I didn't feel that the issues of sex before marriage, pregnancy out of wedlock etc. could be addressed seriously. It seemed to be more about getting beautiful bodies on show with as much skin showing as possible, which would only reinforce negative attitudes to Western 'tarty' culture!

    Mostly entertaining

Catchy songs and a reasonable story apart from the final few scenes where for some reason the film drops into comic farce..still overall worth watching.

This film I rated a 'average'.With romance, comedy and moments that could make some people cry.

This is one of those indian movies you should watch at least once.

    Excellent

this film is an excellent film, with positive performances. The songs are catchy and the story is different and at times very unpredictable.
