Kintaro has traded in his tough lifestyle as the leader of Japan's largest biker gang for the life of a pencil-sharpening salaryman, but some aspects of the past are impossible to leave behind. This animated television show, based on a popular manga by Motomiya Hiroshi, follows its title character through his transition to a 'normal' lifestyle, which he vowed to carry out after his wife's death. Though he wants to provide a respectable life for his son, Kintaro is inescapably a fish out of water, navigating his new surroundings with a propensity for shouting and violence that shakes the Company to its core. Luckily the Chairman of the corporation feels a large degree of 'giri', or obligation, to the young hothead, and lets him keep his job. In Volume Two, however, Kintaro sets about putting an end to the corrupt forces at work within the company, befriending a Yakuza as well, which estranges him even further from the life he has chosen. If anyone is able to come out on top, however, it's Salaryman Kintaro.

Having never previously heard of this anime I was understandably dubious when it was sent to me, I really shouldnt have been though, this was really very good...it's just a shame there doesnt appear to be any more episodes released yet. This may be due to no more being made, its release being cancelled over here or...and I'm hoping for this one...the next dvd taking some time to arrive. Sadly though I think we will never see the conclusion to this series...give it a go though!
