Salem's Lot

Director Tobe Hooper
Genres Horror
Run time 183 mins Certificate 15

28th January 2010

Based on Stephen King's novel, Salem's Lot is about a writer who visits the town to begin a novel. But while he's staying there, strange deaths are occuring. Could it involve a strange hilltop house that may hold a sinster secret? In it's time, it was the most terriying mini series for the late 70s. But after seeing too many vampire movies and other horror films, I didn't really find this terrifying. The first part was very slow and the suspence didn't really hold me, I think the second part was a little better but the ending left you wanting more. I would only recommend this if you have seen this before or a die hard horror fan but I found this a disappointment and far from scary.
