After watching the original film with the same name starring David Soul i was left feeling very disappointed with this offering. As with most Stephen King screenplays or movies the plot was too thin and the acting very wooden,it also went on for nearly 3 hours which was too long for what actually happened in the film was stretched like a highlander's undies whilst tossing the caber.I also was left feeling that the ending was a little inconclusive perhaps there will be a sequel (please no) the first one was tired enough.Rutger Hauer stole the show with his scary portrayal of the master but Sutherland was nothing like the slick James Mason in the previous film. I kept waiting for the master to pop up from the floor boards with his purple face.Oh well each to his own taste.
