Kenshin and the gang make the transition to the big screen in this aptly titled feature film that takes place somewhere within the time line of the TV series. Because the TV series was of such great quality and had such a rabid following, expectations were high for the film, and it does not disappoint. In it, Kenshin and the crew are on vacation in Tokyo, where they run into a gang of Meiji samurai who seem bent on taking down the government. Led by Shigure Takimi, this band of rebels vows to force the government to accept the ideals of the Meiji Restoration by any means possible. Soon, Kenshin has no choice but to fight Takimi and the rebels in order to maintain peace.
