Wish I was there now!

I have owned this programme on tape for many years and watch it at least once every year. There are so many resources on San Francisco and they all tell you about the same old tourist attractions. I love this dvd because it shows you the REAL San Francisco and what it's all about! San Francisco is not just about tourist attractions, it's special because of the people who reside in it and this dvd is so good because it lets you 'meet' them. It's a beautiful place where people are free to express themselves and live the way they choose! This dvd goes into two of my favourite areas of San Francisco, Haight / Ashbury and the Castro (among others). The dvd shows us around one of my favourite places to stay in the whole world, the Red Victorian B & B and we get to meet the lady who runs it, Sami Sunchild. I have met Sami in real life and she is every bit as sweet and charming as she seems on the dvd. I think the presenter, Justine Shapiro is wonderful, she obviously has an open mind, sense of adventure and she is a lot of fun to watch. I am so glad I got to see this before I went to San Francisco for the first time, as I would have missed out on SO much!
