Dark, mysterious, intelligent and confusing!
The best fantasy show since The Prisoner and just as confusing!
Sapphire and Steel was ITV's answer to Doctor Who, featuring two 'Time Agents' battling the evil of 'Time'. Their proper purpose was never explained, their origins were never explained, and their ultimate fate was never explained.
Even so, this series was popular and well written.
