Mental, mental..
By Funghi (7 reviews) from London , 21 Aug 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
I loved this film, first and foremost it was not what I had expected. as I only got the film cause of the title. The way the madness of the characters are displayed is absolutely genius. There is nothing more scary than being in a group of people and there's a complete loon (Vincent Cassel) amongst you. The way the suspense is a red thread weaving through out the film makes you wonder if this is reality or not. If you wont a film to unbalance you just a bit, watch this...- Was this review helpful to you?

(78)Underwhelming and often tedius
By Shinko (25 reviews) from South Wales , 10 Nov 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
Well, what a disappointment!
As this film is often associated with French Extremity, I must say I was expecting a little more plot and lots more extremity.
Instead, the film seems to hold back from wanting to reveal too much - a big mistake in this genre. Added to this is the often tedius, dragging plotline, some bizarre twists and a confusing final third, and what is left is an underwhelming, often boring film that fails to deliver at every level. Such a shame, as the potential was certainly there for another French plot-filled gore-fest.
If you're keen to watch some French horrors, stick to Martyrs, Inside, Frontiers and Livid, instead.- Was this review helpful to you?

Stupid and thoroughly nasty.
By Nitaray (222 reviews) from Farnham , 30 Oct 2011Without a doubt, the worst film I have ever seen. Disgusting. Don't bother with it.
As for Vincent, he needs to be more choosy.- Was this review helpful to you?

French Miss?
By ElTerceroHombre (4 reviews) , 04 Aug 2011The word for this film is bizarre, but not in a negative way. It's like a horror film on acid which leaves you on a comedown. Cassel, while more cartoonish than a Simpsons extra, is fantastically repulsive. So if you're a Cassel fan, but not necessarily a horror film fan, it may be worth a butchers. The soundtrack is also ace - lots of French hip hop. The only detracting factor is that, like a lot of French horror films, it leaves you feeling like it was all a lot of nothing.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not Vincent Cassels best
By jamesmowbray (11 reviews) from Belfast , 29 May 2011Bizarre, Strange and definitely different. Its not a film I would watch again due to the fact it bored me. I only rented it cos Vincent Cassel was in it.- Was this review helpful to you?
