Satyam, Shivam, SundaramBy Professor Cornelieus from London, England , 06 Oct 2003
[Highly rated reviewer]Criticised at the time for what seems a ludicrous piece of miscasting,
this film about a woman with an angelic voice and scarred face is about
as over the top as you can get, even in Bollywood movie terms. The
sultry Zenat Aman's low cut saris leave little to the imagination, and
the film is interspersed with frenzied devotional bhajans which add to
the almost surrealistic quality of the story line. There is a wonderful
dream sequence involving lavish use of polystyrene mushrooms and dayglo
colours, and in the middle of it all a bemused Sashi Kapoor attempts to
look like a top engineer. This is one of those movies you will not want

Pure and InspiringBy a customer from London , 02 Dec 2005One of the best classics ever. Zeenat Aman is amazing in this movie. She plays her role with class and conviction. The moral of the story is clear and raise strong opinions about the fact that true beauty is skin deep.
