Pretty decent movie...
A pretty good movie featuring Vinod Khanna and Meenakshi Sheshadri in the main roles. Vinod Khanna plays the role of a police inspector, tormented and frustrated by the fact that he has been wrongly accused of killing a suspect during questioning. Punished for his honesty and his non-conformity (he refuses to take bribes and he does not spare anybody who commits crimes), he is put in charge of a small town (the family of the kid who dies in the police station is coincidently at the same place!). His sources of support are a friend within the police force (Vinod Mehra in a nice cameo) and a woman who has been branded a prostitute after being kidnapped and raped (Meenakshi Sheshadri). The rest of story is how he manages to clear his name and punish the wrongdoers.
All the actors have put in good performances (Shakti Kapoor is convincing as the bad guy). The movie also has some interesting conversations between the hero and the bad guys. It is a pity that neither of the lead actors (Khanna, Sheshadri) got the appreciation they deserved as good actors.
