I LOVED the first saw game, the puzzles were great, really imaginative and the general gameplay was pretty good.
When I heard of a sequel & saw(no pun intended) the demo on playstation store I was well excited.
Then after ALOT of waiting to get the game, it just didn't live up to the first one I think.
Alot of the mini games from the first one were still there even thought I would have thought new ideas would have came to the fold.
I know that the game is set in run down building etc etc but the lighting in the game is so poor it's incredible. I set the ingame lighting to max PLUS my torch & at times I was running into walls I didn't know were there.
The creators have taken away the ability to kill guys at your discretion, instead opting for a 'press this button at this time' which I just don't go for. If I see a guy running towards me I want to crack that guy in the head with my nail bat as soon as he is within reach.
It is good for a week or so, get your trophies & then get out & as you can only really go ONE WAY the entire game, you can't get lost.
I don't like some of the trophies either. U have to beat a puzzle on Insane mode in under 8 seconds. With some of them it takes you 10 seconds to adjust to the puzzle & what you are going to do......- Was this review helpful to you?

By 26464 (12 reviews) from Bradford , 08 Dec 2012I CANT STOP PLAYING, I'M AN ACHIEVEMENT GEEK AAAAARGH. The story is great, gripping and a nice continuation to the first game.... The combat in the first game was terrible and un responsive, so they made it worse to help irritate JUST me even more ! Word of advice, if you liked the first game and you have ALOT of patience then go ahead and rent if you want to find out how the story continues. The mini-game puzzles are fantastic and a good improvement on the first game. All in all, if you cant stop the itch of curiosity do it.... But you have been warned.- Was this review helpful to you?

By CBAT (2 reviews) , 08 May 2012I really enjoyed the first Saw game. It had a load of violence and gore, plus a very catchy story line. However, i have just given up with this second one, its not something i can describe you will have to rent it by yourself. But i can tell you that it is really poor and the storyline is so shocking, not to mention that it is very lonnnggggggggggggg !!- Was this review helpful to you?

If you liked the first you should enjoy this!
By PSC (32 reviews) , 18 Jul 2011Saw 2 Flesh and Blood improves on the first games in some ways and in other ways doesn't.
First of all if you enjoyed the first game you are more than likely going to enjoy this one. The puzzles are better in saw 2 than in the first games and the frustrating time you needed to complete a puzzle in the fist game has gone and this time you can spend a lot more time trying to solve a puzzle instead of having to worry about running out of time and being killed, this may be a better thing for most players, but for those who like a challenge they will be disappointed.
One very annoying thing about Saw 2 is the lighting effects, it is very hard at times to see where you are going and many times you are going to have to walk slowly to make sure you are not bumping into walls that you simply cannot see. These matter get a lot worse when you are injured and have no syringes to heal yourself, the screen gets darker than before with blood on the side of the screen and this is extremely annoying as you just can't see anything and what's worse is that some puzzles which require you to find a number combination to unlock a door need for good lighting and when you are injured this can be a lot more tricky than what it should be.
Apart from this nuisance the rest of the game delivers well and is very fun to play. The atmosphere is very good and it makes it feel just like a Saw film, the puzzles are better as I said before and parts of the game are better than the first game and other aspects of the game aren't as good.- Was this review helpful to you?
