The movie was GOOD and twisted! The story was very creative and yes, there will be blood plenty of it. You finally get to see the killer and understand his history and motive for giving his victims a choice. The opening scene is guaranteed to make you cringe if not scream. There is no need for a part 3 I hope they close the story here. Please see the first Saw before watching Saw II you will appreciate it more.
Gore is now the order of the day. The horror genre is dead. I can deal with gore, but thats all these films seem to be about.
The brutal truth is that all these films do, is try and outdo each other in portraying more inventive, and sadistic ways of mutilating the human anatomy. To get around the gratuity, it has to be cloaked in a plot, and for good contemporary measure, a twist.
I gave this 3 stars because I can deal with the gratuitous nature of these types of film, but other than that there is no substance to them whatsoever, including the first SAW who many detractors of the sequel, have rated.
